My name is Aaron Preman, I am a native San Diegan who has always been
involved with motorized vehicles starting at an early age. It all started with a
minie bike powered by a lawn mower engine. My brothers and I used to ride
through the neighborhood terrorizing anything that wasn’t on wheels, doing
paper routes, and even pulling a trailer with lawn mower equipment around the
neighborhood mowing lawns whenever we had a chance to make an extra buck.
Mowing lawns and delivering paper routes allowed me to purchase my first
motorcycle with some help from my Dad. I have been hooked ever since. My
brother Josh and I raced every weekend all over Southern California for many
years. After breaking a lot of bones, numerous surgeries and still having to work
to make a living, I decided I had to slow down, pleasure ride and try to keep the
bike out of the air.
I purchased a KTM and was invited on a ride with my brother Josh and some
experienced riders down in Baja. Our very first greenhorn ride was all the way to
Mikes Sky Ranch! Wow, what an experience! Made a lot of new friends with the
same love for riding and still keep in contact with a lot of them to this day. I feel
fortunate to have been able to go on this ride and even more fortunate to have
made friends with John Jensen, a true motorcycle enthusiast and now a great
friend that I have been able to experience 100’s of unforgettable experiences
over 1000’s of miles all over California, Nevada, Arizona and Baja including
the 2008 Baja 1000 SCORE off road race. John has always been there with
support on all the cross country destination rides which includes countless hours
of preparation and planning, Aerial GPS Mapping, Chase Truck, Ride
Organization, and always SAFETY FIRST! Thanks John, WOO HOO!!!
We all at some point in time will hear about friends or family that cancer has
affected. The Childrens Cancer Ride For Life Ride was put together to help us
all take just a minute to remember loved ones that have passed, survived or
living with the disease. With sincere appreciation and gratitude, I owe John
Jenson and Alan Clowers the credit for standing up, to fight and make a
difference against this deadly disease. This ride helped bring the reality of the
disease closer to me and remember the loved ones that have passed away in my
life giving me the chance to remember and never forget. Cancer has no bounds,
no age requirement, no forgiveness and still no cure. Let us all, band together,
to help make a difference today!
-Peace-
